1. Udawalawe National Park 4x4 Jeep Safari

• Location: Udawalawe National Park

• Experience Details:

  • Board an open-top 4x4 safari jeep to navigate open grasslands, bush forest, and reservoir banks.

  • Encounter large herds of wild Asian elephants—including mothers with young calves—at extremely close range in their natural habitat.

  • Observe other native wildlife including wild water buffalo, spotted deer, marsh crocodiles, jackals, monitor lizards, and diverse bird species.

2. Elephant Transit Home (Ath Athuru Sevana)

• Location: Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home (Near the park entrance)

• Experience Details:

  • Visit the conservation platform to watch orphaned baby elephants gather for their scheduled milk-feeding sessions.

  • Learn about the wildlife rehabilitation program that nurses orphaned calves back to health before releasing them back into the wild.
